QuizzesQuizzes count 10% toward your course grade. There are two types of quizzes: in-class and online. In-class quizzesSeveral short in-class quizzes will be given on random dates during the semester. Your lowest in-class quiz grade will be removed from your in-class quiz average. Students can take the quiz in any section. If they take it in both sections, only the first attempt counts. Make up quizzes are allowed only for unexpected circumstances. Students must let us know in advance if they cannot be in class (ONLY for certain known but unavoidable emergency situations or interviews). If you are sick, send the instructor email, or call. Take the quiz only up to one day later (unless you were sick again). You MUST bring documentation. Quiz grades won’t be entered if we don’t have documentation. Once a quiz solution is available, you CANNOT take the quiz. The final decision is up to the instructor. Online quizzesA number of online quizzes may be provided through WebCT. They may be taken any number of times while they are available. A different set of questions may appear for each instance of the same quiz. Only the highest grade will be recorded for each quiz. All recorded grades will be counted towards your online quiz average. |
