• Introduction to Computing Systems from Bits and Gates to C and Beyond, by Y. Patt and S. Patel, McGraw Hill, 2nd ed.

Responsibilities

• Read the announcements on the course webpage daily.
• Finish assigned reading before the corresponding class meeting.
• Do the programming assignments listed on the Assignments link off the course webpage.
• Attend recitation.

Grading

(Grades will be posted on RamCT)

• Programming Assignments, 40%
• Labs, 10%
• Midterm, 25%
• Final, 25%

To pass this course, you must maintain at least a 50% average in the homework grade (programming assignments + labs) and the test grade (midterm + final). For example, a 100% in the homework grade combined with a 49% test grade will NOT result in a passing grade.
