CS253 Remote Lecture Etiquette
Remote Lecture Etiquette
Lectures are presented online via Teams. You may attend lectures in
real time, as they’re recorded, or watch them later. I recommend
watching in real time. Otherwise, you’ll fall behind.
If you do join during the recording, please:
- Stay muted.
- Ask questions via chat.
- Unmute yourself and interrupt me if I’m muted or if I forgot to
share my screen.
Disconnection
- If you get disconnected due to a wonky internet
connection:
- Simply rejoin. See what you missed via the recording, later.
- If you can’t reconnect, then watch the recording when you are able.
- If I get disconnected:
- Give me a minute or two to reconnect.
- Avoid flooding the chat with “OMG, we’re all going
to die!” messages.
- I will reconnect as soon as I can and continue the lecture.
- If I can’t manage to reconnect, then I’ll record the lecture later.
