We are far too quick to forget the past. November 11th is often viewed as simply a holiday honoring veterans, however to those fighting in 1918 during The Great War it was perhaps one of the most impactful days of their lives. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 the competing powers of World War One brought one of the most gruesome conflicts in history to an end. November 11th, 2018 marked the 100th anniversary of Armistice day.

As we continue into the future it is important that societies remember the death, hatred, and violence spawned by nationalistic views held globally. The events of World War One are all too easily forgotten.
