Course Objectives:
The objective of this course is to understand the broad range of issues that underlie modern Operating Systems. This course will cover the following broad areas

  2. Processes and thread management.
  3. Memory management concepts.
  4. Interprocess communication.
  5. File System and storage architecture.
  6. Symmetric multiprocessing.
  7. Networking concepts
  8. Protection & Security
  9. Distributed File Systems
