Thanks to the summer-of-2001 movie, Pearl Harbor, the resourcefulness of the WWII era is back. As the US entered the war,
wool and silk were no longer used in clothing production, and many changes in style took place. Dresses were shorter and slender
in order to conserve fabric. Jackets were also fitted and not as long as they were in the previous decade. Heels on
shoes
changed, and the new design was called a "wedgie". |
